For crissakes, the word is "weaning", not "weening" when one is talking about getting a baby to stop nursing.

Also, one goes through a phase. One might not be fazed by something unexpected happening.

One does not pour over books (or any other kind of paperwork), either. You'll get it all wet. Poring, OTOH, is sometimes necessary.

Given the price of books, and the pervasiveness of our collective book-buying habit, poor-ing is also quite likely.
