Greetings from Omaha...
Mar. 6th, 2007 09:51 am...where I am now stuck.
We are trying to bribe Continental to fly us out at some point today, because I do have to show up at work tomorrow, otherwise the auditing will not get done. Not that I would exactly mind staying here indefinitely -- it's kind of like Western PA, only stretched out -- but I would then want 100 acres and my husband. (The suburban sprawl around here is horrifying; many huge cheaply built vinyl houses with tiny yards, all apparently from the same 3 sets of plans.)
News from home is that hubbykins cannot sleep without me there, Glencora keeps looking for me in odd places (such as the crawl space), and Hudson, evil kitten extraordinaire, is saying "Mummy who?" and trying to annex my side of the bed. sigh.
Oh. And whoever thought getting there is half the fun never sat on the runway in Newark for three hours before beginning a three hour flight. We were traveling for so long that we were hungover from the copious drinking in the Norfolk airport long before we landed in Omaha.
