I will never understand how people will talk to a partner of family member in ways they would never speak to a stranger or coworker. Call me crazy, but if I love someone I am nicer to them than I am to a random person.

This message brought to you by Bruce's lovely way of pitching a fit at me when he's stressed/anxious/angry about something else. I'm not a fan. I also find it very odd that it never happened the three years we dated. The first time was a month after we got married. If it had happened beforehand I'd have thought twice.

Also, saying "I love you" does not magically erase the words "you're a fucking moron". Just in case anyone else is laboring under that delusion.

It was kind of funny in a way; he's pitching a fit and my mind is just going "stop wasting my time, I'm tired from dealing with actual important things all day". I sure didn't like it, but I wasn't emotionally torn up at all. So go me, I guess?

"Always treat your spouse with great respect, like an honored guest in your home."

Buddha had it right.
