So what is everyone watching/reading/listening to right now?

I was watching The Shield on Anazon direct, but quit in protest because they got rid of Glenn Close's character after one season. I really liked Monica.

And remember the cross stitch of doom? The one I finally finished? I cannot find the son of a bitch anywhere!! So very frustrated about that. Though at least I know it's rolled up in a zippered plastic pouch, so it's safe from the elements and the babies. But I want to find it. :-(

I am watching Call the Midwife. Reading Sex, Style, and Substance and Cooked.

I watched the first season of Call the Midwife. I actually liked the book much better because of the emphasis on the medic and legal history of midwifery, rather than in creating some sort of story arc for the characters.

I have not read the books you mention, though they both sound interesting. Thank you.

I'm watching Orphan Black OnDemand from BBC America. I'm looking forward to some of my silly summer shows to start--Rookie Blue (already started), Falling Skies (so bad it's good), Major Crimes.

Reading the third book in a fantasy series. I have no idea what the title is or who the author is. This is what I hate about my Kindle. I never know what I'm reading and I can't remember books I've read and loved.

Doesn't your kindle display the title at the top left of the screen? Mine does. At least I'm 99% sure it does.

Oh huh. Probably! I never really pay attention. It's in my purse in the other room so I'll have to check it out later. I kind of miss seeing the cover art work and getting it ingrained in my brain, but I love every other aspect of it.

You can always Go To --> Cover. Though I have to say I wish kindle books would automatically start at the cover instead of the first page of text.

I would want to find it too! I haven't picked up a new book yet, so I'm re-reading Stephen King's 11/22/63.

It really should not be this difficult to find. I mean, it's three goddam feet of cross stitched bunnies! In what universe does that not stand out!?

it's so odd the strange little tricks the universe can play on us. :o

I'm watching The IT Crowd (yes, I am very behind the times) and reading May We Be Forgiven. It's funny, and it just won a big award http://www.womensprizeforfiction.co.uk/2013/a-m-homes-wins-2013-womens-prize-for-fiction so I feel cool, to make up for not watching IT Crowd until now.

I've never heard of the IT Crowd. Should I check it out?

So glad you're back! I always wonder what you and the boys are up to when you're off LJ.

We're currently watching season 15 of ER on DVD and Kitchen Nightmares on streaming.

I'm currently reading the adaptation of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and Well-Behaved Women Seldom Make History.

I'm currently listening to whatever happens to start playing on either the Amazon mp3 player on my tablet or on my iPod.

So sorry you can't find the cross stitch. It will be in the last place you look. ;)

I haven't been reading as much as usual because I'm on a stitching kick. It tends to switch every few months. I end up watching a whole lot more tv when I'm sewing, or at least I gave it on in the background.

I have never seen a single episode of ER.

I usually read for an hour (or so >_>) before going to bed, as I just don't always have time during the day.

It was one of my "must watch" shows for a long time, then we moved here and chose not to get cable, so no TV reception. I've forgotten how much I love the show.

Currently reading ALT by Andre Leon Talley- he's a senior writer for Vogue. It's a combined memoir of his grandmother and Diana Vreeland, which sounds like an odd mix but turned out to be a good book. Also rereading An Old-Fashioned Girl by Louisa May Alcott. It's comfort reading. Ditto Maud Hart Lovelace's Betsy's Wedding.

Currently listening to all Celtic all the time- The Clannad, Celtic Woman, Anuna and the soundtrack to Riverdance.

Currently watching that incredibly insane ep of Kitchen Nightmares with Amy's Baking Company.

I love Maud Hart Lovelace! A few years ago I went up to Mankato (aka Deep Valley) when I was visiting my aunt Minneapolis.
