A pleasant surprise for once

Just found out I have an old bank account up here from 10 years ago. I was on the phone with the bank and asked how much was in it, figuring 20 or 40 bucks if I was lucky.

It's over $1400!!!!

So, what should I do with it? Right now I'm thinking buy some cross stitch linen when I'm in Minnesota, buy a voting membership for the Hugos this year, and save the rest toward my post-final-baby tummy tuck.

Any and all suggestions welcome though!

wow, that is a nice surprise! :D

I'm a saver by nature when I get a windfall I don't have an immediate need for, so sitting on a chunk definitely sounds appealing. nice linen sounds fun too, as a good little treat with some of it.

I'd save a chunk, buy something I've been wanting that's normally impractical and then a good bottle of booze.
